ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This Toolkit was developed by the Working Group of Work Package 7 of the Euro HIV EDAT (Early HIV Diagnosis And Testing in Europe, www.eurohivedat.eu) project, funded by the 2008-13 Health Programme from European Commission.

It supports projects that recently started, plan to start or are running a Community Based Voluntary Counseling and Testing (CBVCT) project and/or Checkpoint for gay men and other men that have sex with men (MSM). Checkpoints, by our definition, are CBVCT and health centres that specifically address MSM. There is a great variety of Checkpoints in Europe (see Map of Checkpoints in Europe). This toolkit is also useful for all other CBVCT services that address special target groups. Please replace here MSM with your target group.

The Toolkit addresses all topics needed to develop, implement, and self-evaluate quality services in a CBVCT project and/or Checkpoint. It is not written for any specific health system or environment. It can be adapted to small as well as bigger projects. Please find out more about how to use this Toolkit in the ‘How to Use‘ section.

If you have any questions and/or suggestions concerning this Toolkit, please write to info@msm-checkpoints.eu.
